v3.91: Pictures and locations for calendar appointments

Translations: Deutsch (Deutschland)

This version brings you few new features at first glance, but beneath the skin has been tidied up, improved, reworked again. While our developers are already in the works for the upcoming versions, a nice change has been included that is extremely handy in combination with ChurchTools website.

Cover image for an appointment

From version 3.91 you can attach pictures to appointments or series appointments. This enhances the calendar, the display in the app is more beautiful and ChurchTools website customers can now maintain the information for an appointment in one place: in ChurchTools.

Place or address of the appointment

Besides pictures for events, it is also new that you can now add a location. The address of the event is thus directly at the appointment and can be opened in maps. Again, the information is already in the app, so you can immediately open the maps app to start navigation.

Log in faster in the app

Every user can easily log in to the ChurchTools Web with a QR code. On smaller devices, the QR code was not displayed; instead, you were given the option to log in to the app via a link. These features are not new.

What is new, however, is that both options are now always displayed on smartphones or tablets.

Security change: QR code for app

The QR code that a user can use to log in to the app is extremely handy. Here we have made a change that is important for you administrators.

If you are simulating a person, you can still access the app page with the QR code. However, this code should ONLY be scanned by you administrators to simulate or test things. Because this QR code logs the user into the app, but as a simulation for you administrators. When you end the simulation in the app, you are active again with your own profile in the app.

Further changes

Only active roles are now displayed in the dialog for editing chat participations.

The print view of the calendar can be called up again at past times.

The print view works in the list view again

If there is no suitable translation for the AdHoc reports, English will be used and the reports will not break.

There are now APIs to find and request swap partners for services.

The dropdown for calendars in embedded mode adapts better to different widths.

In copied appointments, the delete buttons are now initially hidden.

The widget for the beginner Q&A is displayed for all German-speaking users. The widget can be disabled in the admin settings for the whole installation.

The correct start and end dates are displayed in the tooltip of series resource bookings.

In the master data, the Preselection and Chart Type fields are now selection boxes with the values that can also be used.

If this is not enough for you, you will find all changes of this and earlier versions in our Changelog.

We hope you like the new version as much as we do. As always, you may leave praise and criticism in our forum.
