Summer is slowly picking up speed – and with it comes another round of practical improvements in ChurchTools. This update includes gender-specific placeholders for people, manual links in the Sync module, and more flexibility when exporting facts in Events. There are also a few small but helpful adjustments for Groups and Calendars. Have fun discovering the new features!
Gender-specific placeholders for people
Additional placeholders for gender-specific salutations are now available for people. This allows you to automatically use matching phrases like “Dear Mr.” or “Dear Ms.” in emails or templates and make your communication feel more personal.

Opening groups only for logged-in users
On public group pages, the button for opening a group is now only displayed to logged-in users. This provides clearer control over who can directly access group content.

Create links manually in the Sync module
Links between records can now also be created manually in the Sync module. This is especially helpful when records are not detected automatically or when specific records should intentionally be connected.

Longer external iCal sources in calendars
The maximum length for external iCal sources in calendar categories has been increased from 255 to 1000 characters. This allows longer or more complex calendar URLs to be stored without issues.
More options for fact exports
When exporting facts in Events, you can now also select related calendars and define a custom time range. This makes exports more flexible and allows you to export exactly the data you currently need.

Further changes
If this is not enough for you, you will find all changes of this and earlier versions in our Changelog.
We hope you like the new version as much as we do. As always, you may leave praise and constructive feedback in our forum.
