We’re bringing improvements to the Persons & Groups module, the Groups Beta has been improved and we’ve also made tweaks to the Calendar and Wiki.
Persons & Groups
New “More Actions”
As of now, more group bulk operations (More actions) are available to users, including “Adjust the day of the week of the groups” and “Adjust the start time of the groups”. These functions simplify the management of groups and make it possible to quickly and easily make changes to the days of the week and start times.
Relationships sorted
An improvement has also been made in the person view. The list of persons related to the respective person is now sorted by relationship type (1. Spouse, 2. Children, 3. Parents) and arranged in descending order by age within this list. This arrangement provides more clarity and facilitates the identification of similar persons, as they are now displayed next to each other. This helps to make relationship management and navigation in the people view more efficient.
Groups (Beta)
Work has also been done on the beta of the new group module. The new ChurchTools version brings some improvements. For one, scrolling within tables has been optimized, making the overall user experience more pleasant. This means that you can now navigate through your tables even more smoothly.
Another practical change concerns the editing of automatic e-mails. In the new version, it is no longer possible to close the modal by clicking on the background. This prevents accidental closures and makes editing emails easier and hassle-free.
In addition, map elements have been given an improved hover and click state. This helps to increase the usability and interactivity of the maps in ChurchTools, which contributes to a better overall user experience.
Calendar
The calendar function in the new version of ChurchTools has also been improved. Now birthdays of people who are in your groups may not be shown twice. This update makes the calendar view clearer and prevents duplication of birthday information. The option of whether to show all birthdays or only group birthdays is still available via a selection hidden behind the 3-dot menu. This allows users to customize the calendar view according to their individual needs and display the birthday information in exactly the way that suits them best.
Wiki
There has also been a change to the page title (HTML title) in the wiki. Now it displays the name of the category and the corresponding wiki page. This update provides a clearer and more precise presentation of the content, which makes it easier to navigate and identify information on the website.
Push-Notifications
In the new ChurchTools version, push notifications are now sent in the language of the recipient instead of the creator. This makes communication more personal and effective, especially in multicultural churches. Thus, all members receive the information in their preferred language, which improves interaction within the church.
