We haven’t had such a sunny April for a long time and we are supposed to stay inside, how awful. But to sweeten your days a new version of ChurchTools is coming with improvements on the group homepage, a nice display for settings in Calendar and group homepage and a report for the usage of the ChurchTools App. Let’s go!
Register spouse & children
The new group homepage and also the new registration workflow for groups is being used more and more and we are very happy about that. But one thing was still missing: registering spouses and children.
With version 3.58 it is possible to register your spouse or additional children. Even if the person is not yet registered in ChurchTools, you can register the whole family in one step.
If you register your spouse and children in ChurchTools through the login, it has the nice little side effect that the relationships are also stored directly.
Calendar and group homepage settings
Both the group homepage and the calendar can be integrated into your own website using iFrame. Both views can be configured in different ways to adapt them to your own preferences and purposes. The new configuration screen makes this even easier.
For both scenarios we have built completely new components to display the settings directly with the current view. All setting options can be found in the right sidebar. There you can save the views and also find the code for the website or the direct link.
AdHoc Report: App Usage
The module Reports offers the possibility to define own small reports. In the context of the new chat in the ChurchTools app it is interesting to know how many people have already installed the app and also which version.
With version 3.58 we have built a new AdHoc Report for you “App usage”. Now you can see at a glance how the application is deployed.
Further changes
If this is not enough for you, you will find all changes of this and earlier versions in our Changelog.
We hope you like the new version as much as we do. As always, you may leave praise and criticize in our forum.
