Posted by A cool spring morning, maybe with a cup of coffee in hand—the perfect time to take a quick look at the latest ChurchTools updates. ☕ Among other things, this update brings you a new language, more actions in group member tables, and additional flexibility with routines. You can now also generate reports for individual cost centers and adjust schedules more easily on mobile devices. Here’s an overview of all the changes.
Bulk actions are now available in the group member table
Bulk actions for individuals are now available directly in the group member table. This allows you to select multiple members at once and perform actions. This saves time, for example, if you want to move several people to a new campus at the same time.
New “Waiting List Position” column in member tables
A new column titled “Waiting List Position” is now available in the group members table. This allows you to see at a glance where a person is on the waiting list. Some of you may remember this column from the old group module—it’s finally back and available in the new group module as well.
Greater flexibility in the event of delays in routines
In routines, you can now manually adjust the end date of the waiting period for individuals in delays. Additionally, you can skip a delay for specific individuals. This allows you to manage workflows more flexibly, for example, if someone needs to be moved through a process more quickly.
Pro tip: Create a background check routine now and add all individuals. By adjusting the delay, you can make certain individuals who are already in the process wait a shorter time within the routine until the next action is executed.
Reports for individual cost centers
Reports can now be generated specifically for individual cost centers. This gives you a clearer overview of the income and expenses of specific areas. For example, you can analyze the finances of a single project or department separately.
You can download the report as a PDF, Excel, or CSV file and optionally include journal entries that are not classified as income or expenses.
Schedule items can now be moved on mobile devices
This update makes ChurchTools Web more user-friendly on mobile devices: You can now move items in the schedule directly on your smartphone. This allows you to make changes on the go—for example, just before a service if there are last-minute changes to the program.
At the same time, we’re working on making it possible to edit the schedule directly in the app. Feel free to check out our roadmap for more details.
Swedish Now Available as a New Language
ChurchTools is now available in Swedish. Users can easily select the language in their settings. This makes it easier for international teams or congregations with Swedish-speaking staff to use the platform.
