I rarely have to search for my keys. That’s not necessarily because I’m so organized, but because my keys always hang on the key rack in the hallway. That way, even my wife knows where to find them. In the church, we often have a similar problem – not that people are looking for a key but for a link to a website. Now we can make your life easier by listing the most important website links your church uses on the ChurchTools home page. In addition, we have improved the meeting place search in ChurchTools and also created more clarity regarding group meetings and their participants.
Links on the home page
In the admin settings, you can now enter additional links that will be displayed directly in a widget on the home page. For example, you can place a link to the online Bible, the church calendar, or internal documents. This makes it easier for all users to quickly find important information and church links.
But what if not every link is relevant to everyone? No problem. Each link can be authorized via permissions and thus made visible to a specific group of people.

Improved meeting place search
The search for meeting places has been optimized. This means you can now find the address or location you’re looking for more quickly. This is particularly useful if you don’t want to enter the full address, but only the postal code and city.
More accurate display of group meeting participants
In the “Meetings” view, group meeting participants are now displayed more accurately. For instance, you can now see more easily whether a person was already part of the group at the time of the meeting. If not, the entry date of a group member can be quickly adjusted to mark them as present.
In addition, deceased persons who are still in the group are listed separately.

REST API: Role sorting
There also is an update for developers: Group and group type roles are now consistently sorted in the REST API first by role type and then by sortKey
. This ensures a more reliable structure for queries.
Further changes
If this is not enough for you, you will find all changes of this and earlier versions in our Changelog.
