Posted by While the leaves are falling outside, ChurchTools also has a few “fall updates” in store! 🍂 This time, it’s all about greater clarity and consistency: birthdays are now displayed the same everywhere, groups are assigned their location when they are created, and the booking list is now more transparent. We’ve also done a bit of tidying up in the background—more on that in a moment.
Same birthdays on the homepage and in the app
From now on, you will see exactly the same birthdays on the home page as in the app. Only the birthdays of people whose date of birth you are allowed to see will be displayed. This ensures consistency and compliance with data protection regulations – you get the information you are supposed to see, whether on your mobile device or desktop.
Campus visible when creating a group
When you create a new group, you will now see the corresponding campus when selecting the parent group. This is particularly helpful if you work with multiple locations and want to quickly see where your new group will be sorted.
Total row remains visible with complex filters
The total row now appears in the accounting list even if you filter by accounts, cost centers, and donors at the same time. This makes it even easier to evaluate your finances—you no longer have to forego the total amount just because you are searching for details. To ensure that the information displayed is relevant to your calculation, you can select the desired calculation using the selection field in the summary row.
Deletion: AJAX API Songs & Arrangements
The Ajax endpoints for creating, editing, and deleting songs and arrangements have been removed. This only affects technical interfaces that should no longer be used anyway. For you as a user, nothing will change in your everyday work—everything will continue to run smoothly, just more modernly in the background. You can find a list of deprecations in the Academy.
