You have been asking and waiting for our first ChurchTools app. Now is the time we want to tell you EVERYTHING you will be able to do in the app, show you how it looks like at the moment as well as when it will be available for download.
Sometimes some of your volunteers don’t reply to service requests, because they don’t check their emails so often. For the same reason some volunteers are sometimes a bit lost about when they are scheduled to serve in the church and these situations create stress. As well you might want to be able to check important information on your members with more ease and an app would be more suitable for those tasks. These are some of the problems which the first version of our app solves and I want to break down the entire app for you below.
Events
Once you are logged in into ChurchTools with the app, all service requests will be received as push-notification. In the Events area, you are able to accept or decline service requests (adding a comment if necessary), as well as to see all open and accepted service requests.
Persons and Groups
In the Persons and Groups area, you can search for persons in the contact’s list with a detailed view of the person including picture, age, gender and contact information. Additionally, there are some interaction possibilities such as:
- Call the person
- View of the address location in Google Maps/Apple Maps
- Write an email to the person
- Display the picture in fullscreen
The login process is very intuitive and done once the user accesses the app for the first time. The app can be used in English, German, Portuguese and French.
Those are all the features the first version of our app has. Of course, more is to come in the upcoming versions and piece by piece we will further expand the app.
The app will be released for download on the 12th of December in Apple Store and in Play Store. Don’t worry, we will send you a reminder by email. If you are not in our newsletter list, sign up for it here.
For now that’s all folks 🙂
