Posted by While the weather outside is realizing again, that it’s summer, ChurchTools is firing things up with some fresh new features. This update brings a new language for all Finnish fans, helpful warnings when merging contacts, and plenty of improvements for budgets and account statements. Here’s what’s changed – and how it can make your daily work easier.
Finnish as a new language
ChurchTools now speaks Finnish! You can now select Finnish in the settings – perfect for churches in Finland or multilingual teams.
Warning when merging duplicates
When merging duplicate people, you’ll now get a warning if the default email address will change. This helps you avoid accidentally saving the wrong address as the main contact.
Easier creation of person fields
When creating new person fields, you no longer have to worry about table columns or tables. Previously, support had to be contacted, especially for selection fields that provided a list of options to choose from. Now, the necessary table is created automatically and you can get started right away – saving time and streamlining administration.
Open group type overview directly from the group
In the group view, you’ll now find a direct link to the overview of the group type. This makes it quicker to get to the relevant information and settings.
Budgets for accounts
You can now set budgets directly for individual accounts. This makes financial planning easier and provides a clearer overview of your expenses. The budgets are also displayed in the Budget tab.
Upload account statements as a zip file
Multiple account statements at once? No longer a problem! Simply upload them as a ZIP file – this change will be particularly welcome to customers whose banks offer the CAMT.053 format but store transactions from a single day in one file. Now you can simply zip all 30 files for a month and upload them to ChurchTools in one go. ChurchTools treats the 30 files as if they were a bank statement import.
Improved detection of similar transactions
When importing account statements, ChurchTools now detects similar transactions even better. This makes it easier to find and process duplicate or almost identical entries.
Import accounts with budgets from CSV
You can now import or update accounts including budgets via CSV file – even for multiple tenants at once. Perfect for bringing large amounts of data into the system quickly.
